Leash Free Dog Park

Newmarket residents do not have a Leash Free Dog Park.

After speaking with many dog owners, and being a dog owner myself, there is no doubt that there is much desire and a need for a leash free dog park. During my campaign, I advocated my desire to see this come to light. After I was elected, I was thrilled to find out that this was an initiative that Regional Councillor John Taylor also wanted to see get off the ground.
Subsequently we have spoken extensively and over the next few months will be assessing the support of this through an online sign up showing support of a leash free dog park for Newmarket residents. We feel this should be community driven and we ask that you sign up here to show your support. Together we need to find out the level of need for such a park and if this is something that you would like to have for you and your dog. Please sign up here to show your support
Also, over the next few months we will also ask for your thoughts on what this plan should look like using social media such as facebook groups, twitter and also meetings.
