“It is imperative to vote for a Councillor who not only represents Ward 3, but who actually lives in your Ward… a representative who understands the area traffic, schools, shopping, safety, parks and recreation and issues that are specific to your Ward. Jane Twinney is that representative.”
Diane Humeniuk
Councillor and Regional Councillor, Town of Newmarket, 1985-1993
“I contacted Jane in early August as I have had an ongoing problem with our water. She was very helpful and was able to have someone from the Town of Newmarket’s Operation Department come and suggest some solutions to rectify the situation. I look forward to having her represent our area”
A Collard, Ward 3 Resident
Jane, since the last election and now, we have found you to be a person of their Word; you are unusually timely in responding to communications and for that we appreciate you very much. Thanks very kindly for notifying the city to repair a damaged street light in front of the house, and, for taking the cause to the constituents for overnight parking during off-winter months; it will save someone’s life if people don’t have to drive home impaired or family or guests can stay over with the car on the curb. These may seem like small things to some but they all add up, so for all you do for the community, we wish to say “Thank You Jane!”
Peter and Linda Clark, Ward 3 resident
“Jane Twinney contributed greatly to the success of our inaugural TRi KiDS event in Newmarket on June 13th. Our event was new to the community and she worked to bring awareness of the event to the appropriate audiences. She made valuable recommendations as to where our promotional budget, and time, would be wisely spent. Jane took the initiative to promote our event to the York Region School Board which allowed us to distribute our postcards to every student in the region. Jane was a tremendous help on race weekend – confidently handling the busy race kit pick up registration table and helping out in transition on race day, a critical spot indeed. ”
Thanks again, Tara and Brad – Event Organizers

“Jane – great job on organizing and it is evident by the participants faces that this indeed was a great event for the school community. Many parents that I had a chat with had students at the school or future students coming to the school and this event set the precedent for their children and themselves on how a little effort by a large group can make a difference in a student/childs life.”
Gail Akins, Ward 3 Resident
